Eleven tornadoes ripped through Georgia over the weekend
The Georgia Emergency Management Agency said almost a dozen had died in the southern Cook, Brooks and Berrien counties.
That tornado was one of 16 reported so far this weekend, with 11 of them in Georgia.
Reports have also estimated the state has suffered 100mph winds with flooding taking place in the north of the state.

Brooks County Coroner Michael Miller confirmed that two people had been killed in his country which borders Florida with five more in Cook County to the north and four more in Berrien County.
The deaths are on top of the four people that died in the area of Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Saturday morning after a large tornado hit which wrecked homes leaving residents trapped, collapsed buildings and brought down power lines.
Further north in Choctaw County in Mississippi a further four people were injured and at least 20 homes damaged in what the National Weather Service thought could have been a tornado
