I know that with Arsene Wenger and the team, I will become an excellent and great player
French fifth division winger Achille Degan has made the unusual approach of trying to force Arsenal into giving him a trial.
The 24-year-old Saint-Lo attacker has left Normandy and set up outside the Gunners’ London Colney training complex.
His desire is to speak with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, and the determined player will keep returning until he is handed a chance.
Degan hopes to follow in the footsteps of Cohen Bramall after the defender was signed from non-league Hednesford last month.
He told the Daily Star: “I want to show by my courage that I can succeed. I know that with Arsene Wenger and the team, I will become an excellent and great player. The coach does not know me yet but I know him and I admire him.”
Wayne Rooney, Arda Turan and Dominic Solanke all feature in our Transfer News
Clubs in the Chinese Super League reportedly believe there is a chance Wayne Rooney will leave Manchester United this month.
The transfer window shuts a week on Tuesday in China, with the 31-year-old’s future still up in the air.
Jose Mourinho has left the door open to Rooney heading for the Far East, although with United’s hectic schedule going forward, a mid-season departure seems unlikely.
However, according to The Telegraph, Chinese suitors are working hard to make a deal happen, with offers worth at least £32million a year on the table.
United would apparently demand a hefty transfer fee too, as there is still 18 months left on Rooney’s £300,000-a-week contract.

Arsenal are reportedly set to battle it out with Liverpool to sign Chelsea striker Dominic Solanke.
Antonio Conte revealed yesterday the 19-year-old could leave this summer with his contract set to expire at the club.
He wants £50,000 a week to stay, and with a stand-off ensuing, The Sun claim Solanke has told friends a switch to Anfield is on the cards.
However, according to Football London, Arsenal will provide competition for the young star, with a move to the Emirates a real possibility.
The Gunners are long-term admirers of Solanke and Arsene Wenger’s future at the club will not impact on a potential deal.
