One witness claimed the fire is still spreading
Pictures have emerged of the burning house on the residential street of Vistawood lane.
Onlookers have reported seeing the smoke billowing up from the nearby Kennesaw State University football stadium.
The jet is believed to have crashed at 11:40pm GMT (7:40pm local time) just four miles away from Cobb County International Airport.
The jet's pilot has been confirmed dead following the crash.

One witness claimed the fire is still spreading as emergency services rush to the scene.
The plane was a Citation 500 jet – a small business sized vehicle capable of carrying roughly five people along with crew.

Officials confirmed while the pilot died in the crash residents inside the house are believed to have escaped safely.
One onlooker at the nearby football stadium said: "I'm at the KSU spring game and we literally just watched a plane crash about half a mile away."
