Nottingham Forest have made an improved bid for Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack
Forest want to take McCormack on loan for the remainder of the season.
A deal appeared to have stalled with Forest and Villa failing to agree who would burden the greatest proportion of McCormack's wages.
But Sky Sports now claim Forest have made an improved offer and negotiations have re-started.
Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce will allow Ross McCormack to leave the club
The striker currently earns £50,000-a-week at Villa Park.
McCormack is free to leave Aston Villa this month on loan after falling out with Steve Bruce.
Bruce is unhappy with the Scotland international's commitment levels.
