Arsenal stars Jens Lehmann and Sol Campbell in happier times

Arsenal went the whole of the 2003/04 season unbeaten, winning the Premier League with their revered ‘Invicibles’ team.
In April 2004 Arsenal clinched the title thanks to a 2-2 draw against Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
But despite earning the ultimate bragging rights and winning the league in their bitter rivals’ backyard, two Arsenal players nearly came to blows at White Hart Lane.

Arsenal were two-nil up at half-time thanks to Patrick Vieira and Robert Pires before Jamie Redknapp got one back for Spurs in the second half.
And Robbie Keane landed a point for the hosts from the penalty spot after being fouled by Gunners goalkeeper Lehmann.
But despite the result ensuring Arsenal won the title, Lehmann and Campbell almost had a fight afterwards!

“To win the league at White Hart Lane was exceptional,” Arsene Wenger said in book ‘The Wenger Revolution: Twenty Years of Arsenal’.
“Even though we conceded a penalty in the last minute and Jens Lehmann and Sol Campbell nearly had a fight because Tottenham got a penalty to make a draw!
“We knew what we had to do. That was the title right there in front of us.”
