Chelsea hit back following the loss at the Emirates by winning their next 13 league games in a row.

The surge has helped Conte's men open up a nine-point gap over Tottenham and Arsenal, who sit second and third respectively in the table.

Chelsea have also conceded a joint-low 16 goals in the Premier League this term.

And Wenger concedes he didn't see their resurgence coming.

"When we beat them 3-0 I didn’t expect them to go 13 games unbeaten," Wenger said ahead of today's 12.30pm kick off.

"But they found a better balance defensively, they are very good in transition.

"N’Golo Kante has made a huge impact in that team, it is not a coincidence they are in the position they are and Leicester were in that position last year.

"Eden Hazard and Diego Costa are back in form too.

"Maybe that defeat to us was a wake-up call, they have changed things in the right way, they have benefited by not being in Europe, that has given Conte time to prepare and to get to know better the players.

"The integration of N'Golo Kante has had a huge impact."
