Arsenal have entered the race with Chelsea to sign Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac.

That is according to German newspaper Bild, who claim are keen on the Bosnia international as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his defensive ranks.

Chelsea were rumoured to have made a move for the 23-year-old, but Schalke chief Christian Hedel dismissed these claims outlying an official bid was never made.

Thierry Henry insists Arsenal target Kylian Mbappe has something special

Thierry Henry has heaped praise on Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe.

The 18-year-old is a transfer target for Arsenal with Wenger reportedly monitoring his progress.

"I do not compare, but having met him, I saw he was calm, respectful, and someone who wants to learn," Henry told French outlet RMC Sport.

"When I first saw him play against Tottenham in the Europa League, as soon as I saw him, I knew he was a player. I said: ‘who is he?’

"At 16 and a half [years old], he was asking for the ball, he could dribble, he was having shots, he was winning the ball back and he loved the ball.

"The desire was there. Mbappe has something special, let’s be honest. If he keeps his head on his shoulders, it will come on its own."
