The Gunners are looking for a long-term first-choice goalkeeper with Petr Cech’s form having come under scrutiny this season.

Arsene Wenger has stuck with the 34-year-old ex-Chelsea star in the league, but there are calls from fans for David Ospina to replace him in goal.

Next term, Arsenal plan to use Cech as a back-up, with Manchester City’s 29-year-old on their radar as a replacement.

The Gunners’ pursuit is set to spark a tug-of-war with Liverpool

According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners’ pursuit is set to spark a tug-of-war with Liverpool, who has long been linked with Hart.

Jurgen Klopp was unable to sign the England international last month as Hart had already played for City and Torino this season.

FIFA rules state he would have beeen prevented from featuring for a third team.

But come the summer, a battle will ensue to buy Hart, with City apparently asking for around £15million from any Premier League rival.

West Ham have also been linked, as Slaven Bilic wants to land the highly-rated keeper.

Darren Randolph has displaced Adrian in goal at the London Stadium, and the Spaniard’s future with the Hammers is in doubt.

Hart will be available for a permanent transfer once his loan spell at Torino is complete, as he is not part of Pep Guardiola’s plans.

The City ace is contracted at the Etihad until 2019 on a deal worth £130,000 a week, but all three sides may look to fund a move.
