Athletic Bilbao are weighing up a deal for Nacho Monreal
A deal is in the pipeline for Arsenal to sign Schalke left-back Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer, as he is out of contract in the summer.
Monreal has held down a regular starting spot in Arsene Wenger’s side this season, as he is preferred to Kieran Gibbs.
The Gunners are planning an overhaul of their squad, and Gibbs, along with Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla, could head for the exit.
And according to the Daily Mail, Athletic Bilbao have set their sights on Monreal.

Arsenal are expected to seal a deal for Sead Kolasinac
It is said the club’s coach Jose Angel Ziganda, who previously managed Monreal at youth level, would be keen on a reunion.
However, the report maintains Monreal’s move may be dependant on Wenger.
The French tactician will hold talks with the Arsenal board over his future, although it is expected he will sign a new two-year deal.

Should Gibbs, who has yet to sign a new contract leave, then Wenger would be reluctant to sanction Monreal’s departure.
Gibbs, whose present deal next summer, is supposedly being watched by Newcastle and Stoke.
It is believed Monreal is highly-rated by his manager and may use him in a three-man defence next term.
