Apple has launched a new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in collaboration with Product (RED)
Apple has launched a new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus model today, following unexplained Apple Store downtime earlier today.
The stunning new crimson finish has been designed in collaboration with PRODUCT (RED).
Apple has worked with the prominent AIDS charity a number of times in the past, including iPad covers and cases.
The vibrant red aluminium colour marks more than 10 years of partnership between Apple and (RED).
The new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT) RED special edition will only be available in 128GB and 256GB storage models.
As a result, the new special edition smartphones start from £699 for the 128GB iPhone 7, and £819 for the 128GB iPhone 7 Plus.
The special edition (PRODUCT) RED iPhone joins the five existing finishes, including Jet Black, Black, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold.
Both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT) RED editions will be available to pre-order on Friday March 24th – with the new iPhone models shipping to customers by the end of March.

The special edition iPhone joins the company's already wide-ranging (PRODUCT) RED lineup, which is available year-round in the Apple Store, and includes the complete iPod range, Beats Solo 3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones, Beats Pill+ Portable Speaker, the iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case and a range of accessories for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.

“The introduction of this special edition iPhone in a gorgeous red finish is our biggest (PRODUCT)RED offering to date in celebration of our partnership with (RED), and we can’t wait to get it into customers’ hands.”

Alongside the new crimson (PRODUCT) RED iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Apple pushed-out a few other minor updates to its products.
iPhone SE has been bumped-up to 32GB and 128GB storage models – doubling the current capacity and replacing 16GB and 64GB variations.
The updated smartphone will be available to pre-order on Friday March 24th for the same UK price, starting at £379.
The new iPhone SE will be available in both brick-and-mortar Apple Stores, as well as online on Friday, Apple has confirmed.
The Cupertino-based company also unveiled new colours for its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus silicone cases.
These now include Azure, Camellia and Pebble, as well as updated leather cases in Taupe, Sapphire and Berry.
Apple has dropped the iPad Air 2 from its online store, replacing it with a new model called iPad
All the refreshed cases will be available at Apple.com and Apple Stores this week.
Apple has also refreshed its iPad line-up – dropping the 9.7-inch iPad Air 2 with a new device called iPad.
The specs remain pretty much unchanged as the iPad Air 2, except the outdated old A8X processor with the new 64-bit A9 – which first shipped with the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
The 32GB model starts at £339, while 128GB will set you back £429. Both are available to buy on Friday 24th March.
But while today's upgrades only represent a minor specs bump, Apple is purportedly working on something a little more drastic.
Apple is also believed to be working on a dramatic redesign of the iPad Pro, which will drop the physical Home Button in favour of almost bezel-less display that bleeds up to the very edge of the chassis.
A similar industrial design is also rumoured for the next iPhone, which will be released to mark the tenth anniversary of the best-selling smartphone range.
