Apple are trying to lure Android users ahead of the iPhone 8 release date
Earlier this month Google VP Dave Burke revealed that there were two BILLION active Android devices used each month.
In a blog post he wrote: “This is an extraordinarily humbling milestone — and it’s the largest reach of any computing platform of its kind."

The most recent update Apple on active iOS users was in January 2016, when the Cupertino firm said there was one billion active devices globally.
Sales figures have widely put Android’s market share as between 80 to 90 per cent – but these active user figures suggest Apple is closing the gap.
And now the tech giant are hoping to lure over Android users ahead of the release of the iPhone 8.
Apple have launched the Switch website, which highlights the iPhone’s virtues with a bold message right at the top that says: “Life is easier on iPhone”.

The website describes how Android owners can transfer photos, contacts, videos, message history and calendars to iPhone.
It also talks up the quality of the iPhone camera and how strong Apple is with security.
The Apple Switch website says: “Privacy is a priority with Apple. Unlike many other phones, important data on your iPhone is encrypted from the start and protected by your passcode.”
Google also launched a similar website about how to transfer iPhone data to a Google Pixel soon after their smartphone was unveiled.

Apple also on Monday launched three new videos to accompany its Switch campaign.
One video focuses on security, the other on the iPhone’s performance and the final clip about transferring contacts between Android and iOS.
The Switch campaign comes months before the anticipated reveal of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8.
Latest leaks allegedly show the final design of the next-generation smartphone – and unfortunately it includes a rear-mounted Touch ID fingerprint scanner.
It is also expected that the iPhone 8 will drop the physical Home Button in favour of an edge-to-edge display.
