Apple's iPhone 8 could include facial recognition
Apple's iPhone has just celebrated its 10th anniversary with this year's device expected to bigger and better than anything the US tech giant has produced before.
Earlier this month Apple boss, Tim Cook, revealed that big things could be coming to the next-generation smartphone.
Speaking about the device Cook said: “iPhone set the standard for mobile computing in its first decade and we are just getting started. The best is yet to come.”
There's already been plenty of rumours about the iPhone 8 with this new smartphone expected to include a new design with a curved edge-to-edge display.
Wireless charging and a home button embedded under the display are also thought to be coming to the iPhone.

Apple iPhone 8 will debut a brand-new all-glass look, with a curved OLED display and no physical Home Button
Now another rumour has surfaced that suggests Apple will use a new way to interact with the iPhone.
According to analyst, Timothy Arcuri, Apple will introduce facial recognition on its new smartphone.
Not only will this allow the phone to be unlocked via the power of your face but also let users access features via gestures.
It's currently unclear how these gestures will work but some devices from LG and Huawei already feature facial controls which allow selfies to be taken with a smile at the screen.
Samsung also included an Iris scanner on its Galaxy Note 7 which allowed the, now defunct device, to be unlocked via the user's eyes.
Although this sounds like something from the future, in reality, this iris scanning wasn't as intuitive as simply placing your finger on the current scanners that appear on most modern smartphones.
So when will the iPhone 8 be released?
Apple has only recently unveiled its iPhone 7 and 7 Plus devices so don't expect anything soon.
The US tech giant usually reveals its new smartphones at a major event in September and there's nothing to suggest 2017 will be any different.
Apple did unveil the iPhone SE early in 2016 and it may update this device again this year but, if it's the flagship iPhone you're after, you'll probably have to wait until the Autumn before you'll get one in your hands.
