Conte has asked staff from Chelsea's medical and sports science departments to provide player data from their pre-season preparations two summers ago to try and work out what went wrong.
The Sun claim the 47-year-old is even understood to have taken the data with him on holiday to Majorca last week.
While several players have left Chelsea since Mourinho's title triumph, Conte has key data to analyse concerning the likes of Thibaut Courtois, Cesc Fabregas, Eden Hazard, Willian, Diego Costa and Gary Cahill.

Mourinho gave his players an extra week off during that summer but Conte is unlikely to do the same given the Blues will be preparing for a hectic season with the return of Champions League football.
The report suggests Conte has already planned his pre-season schedule in detail and will provide players with individual regimes tailored to them based on their fitness when they return from their holidays in a month's time.
