Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann has pledged to stay at Atletico Madrid
Supporters have been left furious that Griezmann, 25, has snubbed the chance to move to United to stay at Atletico Madrid.
During the ‘will he go, will he stay?’ transfer saga, Griezmann’s brother Theo often tweeted about the Red Devils – fuelling fans’ hopes he could move to Old Trafford.
Theo himself is a big United supporter, who often posted cryptic tweets over whether Antoine could join.
But following the news the deal was off, fans reacted with fury.
They bombarded Theo with messages on Twitter, lamenting him for how he acted.
One wrote: “Theo Griezmann was taking advantage of gullible United fans to gain followers n RTs.”

One furious United fan from Australia tweeted: “I wish i cud bash his face wit a baseball bat , been followin this **** fo mnths.”
While a fellow supporter tweeted Theo directly and said: “Antoine is a **** just like u. Ur brother snaked us.”
Griezmann revealed he will stay at Atletico next season as it would be a "dirty move" to leave.
"It's a hard time for the club," Griezmann said.

Atletico were banned in July 2016 from registering players for two transfer windows.
They failed in an appeal to FIFA, prompting Atletico to go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Their fine was reduced but the appeal was knocked down, meaning they can’t register anyone until January 2018.
Atletico hit out the decision, saying the ruling "unfair" and that it would cause "irreparable damage" to the club.
