The 52-year-old antiques expert was taking part in the second day of a Scottish road trip with fellow dealer Catherine Southon.
Mark started his trip in Glasgow before passing through Falkirk searching for treasures on their way to auction in Dundee.
Meeting bagpipe expert Dougal, Mark asked: "Could I set you a challenge? Could you possibly teach me how to get a note out of a bagpipe? Shall we have a try?"
Voicing the show, Tim Wonnacott gasped: "Oh no. Is this really a good idea? Think of the neighbours."

Gosh. Well give me a chance
Asked the first steps to learning the instrument, Dougal replied: "The first step is to learn how to finger the chanter. For this we use a practice chanter so there's no bag or anything.
"There's a reed in here and if you blow it, just blow. Excellent. Lift the pinky. Next one. Now put the pinky down when you lift that other one."
Struggling, Mark took a deep breath and said: "Oh wow. Gosh, you need a lot of puff don't you?"
Looking at the red-faced presenter, Dougal laughed: "That's not much puff. Wait until you try the bagpipe!"
Making a dig at the host, Tim added: "Oh come on Mark, you're always so full of hot air."

Watching Mark fumbling with his beloved instrument, Dougal then snapped: "Don't talk, just blow. No!
"Keep the pressure on. Don't take it off. Blow your arm out. No increase the pressure a bit. A bit more. That's not at all bad. You're not getting the chanter to go though."
Rolling his eyes as sweat began to drip, Mark raged: "Gosh. Well give me a chance," before giving up and saying: "Oh, I'm sorry Dougal. I'm out of puff. I think I need more practice."
It comes after yesterday's episode saw Mark and Catherine fall out at the roadside, leading to the former to storm off after a heated exchange.
