Anthea Turner said she thinks 'dying is easier than divorce'
The 57-year-old – who split from Grant after 13 years back in 2012 – said that “death is final,” whereas you have to deal with the heartbreak after you get divorced.
Anthea – who has been busy promoting her new book How to Survive Divorce – explained: “Every counsellor I’ve ever spoken to, every book I’ve ever read has had to admit the galling fact that death is actually easier to reconcile with than divorce, for two main reasons: it’s final and there has been no rejection.
"After 15 mainly happy years together, from the age of 38 to 53, Grant and I were divorced and I was utterly bereft. How had it come to this? We were massively connected – our lives together spanned from 1998 to 2013 – and I had learned to be step-mum to three fabulous kids, now three fabulous young women, whom I love very much.
"We’d been through the trauma of many unsuccessful IVF attempts; three house moves; working together; holidays; weddings and the integration of every part of our lives with family and friends who loved us both. No wonder breaking-up left me feeling as if someone had died.
"The grief of a divorce is very real and, just as with a bereavement, you have to expect it. Feelings of grief are inevitable and actually healthy even though it doesn’t feel like it at the time. Allow all the natural emotions to take their course, deal with them and come to terms with your loss. The eventual goal is to actually get over the trauma of your divorce and find happiness again but that’s some way off, I know.”

Anthea also said that she sees dates as “auditions” while she searches for Mr. Right.
The former Blue Peter presenter continued to tell The Sunday People: “I’m rubbish at it, but I think I will love again. There is a different between dating and going out.

“You can be a serial dater and not be exclusive. I think of it as auditioning men."

Anthea previously said she 'turned detective' to trap her other half
This certainly isn’t the first time that Anthea has spoken out about the break-up, after she recently went into detail about how she trapped her cheating other half.
Anthea confessed that she “turned detective” and checked his emails, as well as his car’s Sat Nav and even the electronic device on his bike to find out that he had actually not been anywhere he claimed to have been.
Anthea shared: “Grant had no idea I could do these things. He should not have underestimated me. I hated being the sort of woman who checks up on her husband.”
