Conor McGregor would be a massive challenge for Anderson Silva
The veteran middleweight has been talking up the prospect of fighting UFC two-weight champion Conor McGregor in recent weeks.
And ahead of his bout with Derek Brunson at UFC 208 this Saturday, Silva has revealed why he wants get in the Octagon with the Irishman.
"I respect a lot Conor McGregor because this man changed everything in UFC," Silva said.

When McGregor travels for fights, he always needs to carry a passport for his shoes as certain states restrict certain materials. His favourite pair are made from crocodile skin

McGregor is currently taking a break from action ahead of the birth of his first child this summer.
In his last bout, the 28-year-old made history by beating Eddie Alvarez and becoming the first man to hold two UFC titles simultaneously.
But McGregor looks unlikely to fight in MMA next as he and Floyd Mayweather trade public blows over a potential boxing clash.
The UFC star has obtained a boxing licence in California and unbeaten boxer Mayweather has admitted that he could come out of retirement to face him.
If the fight does get made, it would put the brakes on any potential McGregor v Silva bout.
