Things to ask Amazon's Alexa
That’s because a new report has claimed that the company is working on giving the Amazon Echo the ability to make and receive voice calls.
The new product would allow users to make a call through a voice command to Alexa, much like the current practice.
This would then automatically connect the user with their contact, with the call being carried out over the Wi-Fi network being used by the Echo.
The Amazon Echo has enjoyed huge popularity since its launch late last year

The report claims that the call feature is already being tested now, with Amazon preparing to launch it alongside the second generation of the Echo later this year.
However as Alexa will soon be coming to smartphones, as revealed at Mobile World Congress last month, this new feature could also help activate one of the platform’s key missing focuses to date.
The Amazon Echo was one of Express.co.uk’s favourite gadgets to launch last year.
The internet-connected speaker lets you order dinner, check the weather, turn on the lights, adjust your thermostat, call a cab, play radio stations, podcasts, music and more, using only your voice.
Alexa also brings access to millions of songs, albums and radio stations, and now has thousands of possible actions or “skills”.
The Echo and smaller Echo Dot are perfect for communal rooms, like the kitchen or living room, thanks to the devices' powerful home automation commands – and jovial secret features.
