Express Sport understands Allegri is in advanced talks to over as the new Arsenal manager should Arsene Wenger leave in the summer.
Wenger is out contract at the end of the season but the club are ready to hand him a two-year deal to stay.
But Wenger is concerned by the growing animosity among fans due to the club’s failure to compete for the title.

Arsenal dropped further behind leaders Chelsea on Saturday when they lost 3-1 at Stamford Bridge.
Fans held banners calling on Wenger to stand down and the club are understood to be considering their options should the Frenchman walk away.
Allegri, along with RB Leipzig boss Ralph Hasenhuttl, Thomas Tuchel and Eddie Howe have all been mentioned as potential successors.
And Allegri today refused to rule out a move to north London.
