A Hitler lookalike has been spotted wandering around his hometown
Witnesses say the lookalike sports Hitler’s distinctive features, including his trademark moustache and haircut.
Police say he has been spotted on multiple occasions wandering around Hitler’s hometown of Braunau am Inn, and has even been photographed outside the house where the dictator was born.

Believed to be between 25 and 30 years old, the man – who identified himself as “Harald Hitler” at a local bar – was last seen browsing Second World War magazines at a bookstore.
A local resident snapped a picture of the mystery man and posted it on Facebook.
He told the Oberösterreichische Nachrichten newspaper: “I have often seen this gentlemen in Braunau and wonder if this means something.”

Prosecutors have confirmed reports of the sightings as Austrian authorities continue their investigations, saying the man faces prosecution when caught.
Glorifying Hitler or the Nazis is a serious crime in Austria, which was annexed by Nazi Germany in 1938.

Since the end of WW2, the village of Braunau am Inn has tried to erase all traces of the Nazi leader.
Most recently, the three-storey building where Hitler was born in 1889 was bought out by the Austrian government to ensure the site is not used for neo-Nazi tourism.
