Despite being something of a political veteran having been in politics since 1976, Sir Greg, 68, is something of a rock ’n’ roller, playing drums in Westminster’s rock group MP4.
But his latest bid to be returned to Parliament is somewhat more off-beat.
Sir Greg has represented the area since 2001 and is a clear favourite amongst voters.

At the last election he managed to attract over 25,000 votes, more than half of all votes cast and almost 15,000 more than his nearest rival.
The short clip begins normally enough with the Tory candidate and classic car enthusiast delivering a short speech before going a bit more surreal.
Speaking to camera, he says: “Hi, my name’s Greg Knight. I’m the Conservative candidate for East Yorkshire.

Then the clip takes a more alternative tone, with what can only be described as an attempt at cheesy Eighties pop – with tailored lyrics imploring voters to back him.
Sung to a backing track of synthesisers and electronic drums, the lyrics describe the strong and stable leadership Theresa May is promising.
Over a rather cheesy, pumping Euro disco beat comes the killer lines:
“You’ve got accountability,
With Conservative delivery.
Make sure this time you get it right,
Vote for Greg Knight.”
