Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on bringing Italy international Belotti to Old Trafford.
Last week it was claimed the Portuguese boss asked Jorge Mendes to begin work on a deal for Belotti, with Italian newspaper La Stampa claiming the striker is set to become the super-agent's client.
Real Madrid have also been linked with the 23-year-old, who has scored 29 goals for club and country this season and who has an £85m (€100m) release clause.

If they offer €100m from abroad he could leave
Cairo on Belotti
But Cairo remains hopeful of retaining the former Palermo youngster.
"Belotti? The €100m clause seemed stratospheric, but now it seems low," he told Italian radio station Rai.
"For him and for us it is better if the rooster remains with us, he seems to be happy and willing to stay. He will talk with us directly.
"For him it’s been a wonderful season, it would be great for him to prove himself and go to the World Cup (in 2018) with a great fanfare, but we'll see.
"Everything also depends on Belotti, he could say no to a farewell and our relationship with him is wonderful, but then if they offer €100m from abroad he could leave.

Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly want to sign Andrea Belotti
Belotti has an £85m release clause in his contract
Real Madrid are also said to be interested in signing Belotti
"I think we can continue a bit longer together.
"I would give our Toro a score of seven or eight, we have scored a lot and I think this is our strongest attack of all time."
Chelsea's interest in Belotti supposedly comes as manager Antonio Conte searches a forward target in case Diego Costa leaves the club this summer.
Romelu Lukaku is also on Conte's wish list, although Everton will demand £70m for the Belgium international, who has also caught the attention of Paris Saint-German and United.
