Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement with Monaco for the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The Blues were said to have come to an understanding on personal terms for the 22-year-old midfielder.
But with Manchester United still in the hunt, Chelsea needed to broker a deal with the Ligue 1 outfit.
And now, according to Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb, a £35million fee has been agreed.
Bakayoko will subsequently put pen to paper on a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, it is claimed.
Tiemoue Bakayoko, Lionel Messi, Kostas Manolas and Mesut Ozil all feature in our Transfer News
Manchester United and Liverpool target Kostas Manolas has admitted he could be forced out of Roma this summer.
Jose Mourinho has been looking to strengthen at centre-half, while Jurgen Klopp is reportedly ready to treble the 25-year-old’s wages to £75,000-a-week.
And with the Serie A club seemingly open to selling, the Greece international has reiterated his agent’s comments that he is powerless as things stand.
“My future is in Roma’s hands,” Manolas told Mediaset Premium. “If they want to keep me, they know what to do.
“If they want to sell me, then I can’t do anything about that.”

Mesut Ozil believes Arsene Wenger will not go behind his back at Arsenal
You think Wenger speaks to journalists before he tells me?
Mesut Ozil insists Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is not making plans regarding the German’s future without consulting him first.
Express Sport understands the Gunners are ready to sell their playmaker, who has one year left on his current deal at the Emirates.
However, while away on international duty with Germany, the attacker was asked by news outlet Die Welt about the situation.
And Ozil replied: "You think Wenger speaks to journalists before he tells me? Then I know him differently."
The 28-year-old also confirmed talks will be held soon and then a decision is set to be made.
Lionel Messi wants Monaco and Portugal star Bernardo Silva at the Nou Camp
Lionel Messi is making his transfer demands clear to Barcelona with wholesale changes desired at the Nou Camp.
Luis Enrique’s poor recruitment last summer has led to the Argentina international requesting additions.
And he also wants Barca to offload those he does not deem worthy of the club and experienced duo Arda Turan and Jeremy Mathieu.
According to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Messi does not see a future there for Andre Gomes, Lucas Digne or Paco Alcacer, who have all failed to impress.
Coming in, Messi is keen on Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin, Monaco playmaker Bernardo Silva, and up front either Ousmane Dembele, Kylian Mbappe or Vinicius Jr.
